413 BC: Destruction of the Athenian expeditionary force in Sicily. The Athenian League in turmoil. Darius II orders his satraps to collect taxes from the Asia Minor cities of the Athenian League.

winter 413-412 BC: Diplomatic processes in Sparta. The Spartans decide to send the fleet help then Chians and Tissaphernes against the Athenians.

spring 412 BC: The Spartan fleet in Chios. Defection of Lesbos, Samos and Miletus from the Athenian League.

summer 412 BC: First treaty between Spartan and Persians.

late 412 BC: The revolt of Amorges in Iassos of Caria is oppressed.

winter 412-411 BC: Second treaty between Spartan and Persians.

summer 411 BC: Third treaty between Spartan and Persians.

late 411 BC: The Spartans help Pharnabazus in the Hellespont.

411 BC: The alliance of the Lacedaemonians with Pharnabazus is defeated at the naval battle of Abydus.

410 BC: The alliance of the Lacedaemonians with Pharnabazus is defeated at the naval battle of Cyzicus.

409 BC: The Spartans and Pharnabazus are defeated in Abydus. The attempt to break the siege of Chalcedon fails.

406 BC: The new admiral Callicratidas fights against Cyrus. He captures Teos, Methymna and Delphinium in Chios. Defeat and death of Callicratidas at the naval battle of Arginusae.

405 BC: Lysander returns to Asia Minor as a epitropeus (second in command of the fleet).

summer 405 BC: Destruction of the Athenian fleet at Aegospotami.
