ΠΕΡΙΛΗΨΗ
Theodore Mangaphas’ rebellion broke out in 1188-1189, when the rebel unsuccessfully tried to establish an independent rule in Philadelphia. In 1204-1205, after Constantinople fell to the Latins, Mangaphas appeared again laying claims to the area. His rebellion failed and, after his forces were defeated by the Latins, his land was incorporated into the newly established State of Nicaea. |
